Researcher at Data Engineering Laboratory (delab)
I am researcher with the Data Engineering Laboratory (delab) group, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
My research lies at the intersection of machine learning, spatio-temporal modeling, and web information retrieval. I study and build novel Social Data science methods and tools. My goal is to further improve the way we understand the evolution of users' daily behavior on web. To succeed this goal I deal with big data analysis over Location Based Social Networks using machine learning algorithms and models over heterogeneous and multidimensional data.
My work finds natural applications and valorization in a variety of contexts. I am currently active in three investigation lines related to Spatio-textual dynamics on LBSN, Multimodal User-Item preference dynamics, and Spatial analysis using sessions.
