I received my B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from the Department of Informatics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2005, 2007 and 2011, respectively. I have worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Information Technologies Institute of Centre For Research & Technology-Hellas, Thessaloniki, Greece, in the EU-Funded Projects I-SEARCH (FP7/ICT-STREP Grant agreement No. 248296) and CUBRIK (FP7/ICT-IP Grant agreement No. 287704) from June 2011 to December 2013. Currently, I am postdoctoral research fellow at the Computer Science Department of University of Cyprus. My main research interests include Databases, Multimedia Information Retrieval, Machine Learning & Pattern Recognition, Social Networks and Cloud & Parallel Computing.
