I am a
lecturer at the Dept. of
Informatics of the Aristotle
University of
Thessaloniki. Prior to that,
I was a visiting lecturer at the University of
Cyprus and a research associate member of the Information Management
Group of the School of
Computer Science of the University
of Manchester and of CERTH.
I am a
member of Delab.
I
graduated with a PhD from the School of Computer Science of the
University of
Manchester in 2005. I also graduated from the Dept. of Electrical and
Computer Engineering of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1999 (BSc), and from
the Dept. of Computation, UMIST, Manchester, UK, in 2002 (MPhil).
My
main research interests are in the area of adaptive query processing,
autonomic and wide-area data management, distributed DBMSs, massive
parallelism and resource
scheduling. I am also particularly interested in applying control
theory-based techniques to data management systems.
