The main focus of this workshop is on the role, importance, and application of Modeling and Simulation in the context of Information Systems and Enterprise Systems Engineering from organizational perspective. Modeling & Simulation have been widely recognized as an instrument to observe dynamic behavior of systems, measure IT impacts on organizations, and outcomes of changes.
In addition to extensive research programs, the field of M&S is actively attracting industry and tool developers. For businesses, the practice of M&S is becoming a de facto standard tool to change, improve, and introduce innovation in their business processes. This workshop is aimed to become a major outlet for researchers, practitioners, and educators interested in the application of Modeling & Simulation pertaining to IS, EIS, Organizational Processes, and Business Systems. This workshop will attract significant contribution by junior researchers as well as seasoned professionals practicing the art of Modeling & Simulation. It will also appeal to teachers of the Modeling & Simulation discipline, since this discipline is extensively offered within the computing majors. There is a growing interest in this field from educational institutions with doctoral programs in M&S.
