About WISE 2014 Conference


WISE is a peer-reviewed International conferences series which has so far established a solid community which aims at high quality research work and it offers the ground for advancing and progressing efforts in Web information systems addressed topics and audiences. Previous WISE conferences were held in Hong Kong, China (2000), Kyoto, Japan (2001), Singapore (2002), Roma, Italy (2003), Brisbane, Australia (2004), New York, USA (2005), Wuhan, China (2006), Nancy, France (2007), Auckland, New Zealand (2008), Poznan, Poland (2009), Hong Kong, China (2010), Sydney, Australia (2011), Paphos, Cyprus (2012) and Nanjing, China (2013). The aim of this 15th edition of the conference series on Web Information Systems Engineering is to provide an international forum for researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners to share their knowledge  in the rapidly growing area of Web technologies, methodologies and  applications.

Initial Submission Conditions


Papers should be submitted in PDF format. The results described must be unpublished and must not be under review elsewhere. Submissions must conform to Springer's LNCS format and should not exceed 15 pages, including all text, figures, references and appendices. Submissions not conforming to the LNCS format, exceeding 15 pages, or being obviously out of the scope of the conference, will be rejected without review. Information about the Springer LNCS format can be found at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. Three to five keywords characterizing the paper should be indicated at the end of the abstract. The type of paper (technical/empirical evaluation/experience/exploratory paper) should be indicated in the submission.

Submissions should be made electronically in PDF or DOC/DOCX (MS/Open Word) format via the electronic submission system of the WISE 2014 Conference Management system at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wise2014

Camera-ready Submission Conditions


Camera-ready submissions should corrected by following the remarks of the referees and submitted in zip format inluding (1) the camera-ready version of the authors' work in pdf format, (2) the camera-ready version of the authors' work in editable sources format as well as (3) the Consent to Publish signed in ink and scanned to image file. The results described must be unpublished and must not be under review elsewhere. Submissions must conform to Springer's LNCS format and should be, including all text, figures, references and appendices:

  • 16 pages, for the regular papers,
  • 10 pages, for the short papers,
  • 10 pages, for the poster papers.

Submissions of camera-ready should be made electronically in ZIP (including the aforementioned files) format via the electronic submission system of the WISE 2014 Conference Management system at https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wise2014 by submitting a new version to the original.

Publication


Accepted papers will be presented at WISE’14 and published in the conference proceedings, which is published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Authors elected best papers from the conference will be invited to submit an expanded version for publication in the WWW Journal, Springer.

The papers in all the categories should describe original results that have not been accepted or submitted for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be evaluated by at least three members of the international program committee.

Organization


WISE 2014 is organized by the Dept. of Informatics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. (http://www.csd.auth.gr/en/) and it will be hosted at the Grand Hotel Palace (http://www.grandhotelpalace.gr/), located close to the historic center of Thessaloniki, 17 km from “Macedonia” airport.
